Data collected through this website is processed only by us, for our own purposes. We do not sell it or share it with third parties for their purposes.
We process personal data in line with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, for visitors in the European Union, Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
What we collect
- Data you send us through the forms: first and last name, email, company, phone (optional), message, estimator answers and result, and any consent to receive communications.
- Technical browsing data needed to serve the site securely (server logs handled by our hosting provider).
- Anonymous statistics, only with your consent: counts of pages and actions, without IP address or personal identifiers.
- Browsing journey, only with your marketing consent: pages visited on this site, the campaign or site you came from and estimator steps. It stays in your browser and reaches us only if you send a request.
Purposes and lawful bases
- Replying to your request and preparing a proposal: steps taken at your request before entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Sending updates, guides and offers by email: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time, in line with PECR.
- Personalising content and campaigns based on the pages you visited: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) given through the cookie banner.
- Aggregate statistics: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Site security: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Tools, providers and transfers
We use providers that process data on our behalf: Salesforce (CRM) and Cloudflare (hosting and anonymous statistics). Transfers outside the UK rely on the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable.
How long we keep data
- Requests and business contacts: 24 months from the last contact, unless a contract follows.
- Marketing consent and personalisation data: until withdrawn and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last interaction.
- Browsing journey in your browser: 180 days.
- Statistics: aggregated and anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data and object to processing, including profiling for marketing, by writing to info@ethos-tech.co.uk. You can withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you live in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
